Book of the Moment: Chosen by P.C. Cast + Kristin Cast
Chosen is the third book in darkly funny and sexy House of Night Series by the mother/daughter duo, P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast.
Zoey Redbird has been at House of Night for a while now and the drama just never seems to end! Zoey is juggling three boyfriends and she knows it wrong but she really just can't help it! There is the boyfriend everyone knows she has, the uber man Eric Night. There is Heath, her human ex boyfriend who really isn't just an ex anymore... And then there is the hotly off limits young poetry teacher, Loren, who makes Zoey feel like a woman, not just some gawky teenager who is confused about everything. But on top of this mad, four triangle (gasp!) is the fact that her best friend is undead and is just this close to losing any past trace of her old self and into becoming a monster. With these dilemmas, enemies are becoming friends and people she thought she could trust are not so trustworthy it turns out... When being a teenage vampire with unbelievable powers that really, no one else in the history of the world has had, life can get kinda tough. And that is just what Ms. Zoey Redbird finds out.
You know those series that keep getting worse and worse as more books come out? Well that is about the OPPOSITE of what happened to the House of Night series for me! Usually the later books in a series can ruin it but this series has so far held out strong and has been very impressive with up holding my taste. My taste being loads of drama, passionate love, and kick ass action, which clearly is included in this little treat of a book. The books are sort of short so I have been super fast about reading them but I'm so glad there are so many more books in the series! I can't wait to read what happens and I'm jumping up and down for it! But I'm going to have to take a mini break to read some other books so I have some, shall we say, variety. Anyways, Chosen was such a fun read and I can't wait to read more of Zoey Rebird's journey!
I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars!
