Q. Genre Wars! What's your favorite genre and which book in that genre made it your favorite?
I used to be the biggest realistic fiction fan ever. I was always reading books with catty girls and then the "new girl" appears at school and everything changes. Ya, those type of chick lit books. Gossip Girl, It Girl, etc. etc. But this year I started getting into more of the paranormal books and I think what started the my craze was having to read A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray for our fear selection at school. Ever since reading that book, I've always liked the idea of their being an other world besides the modern age and so from then on I read book like the Mortal Instruments series, The Vampire Academy series, Hush, Hush, and such books. I still read realistic fiction but I've had a hankering for the paranormal! :)
Hopping by to visit and follow! I hate to admit that I still haven't read Libba Bray. her new book Beauty Queens looks very good though. Good pick with Vampire Academy--Rose is awesome. :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to check out Libba Bray for awhile, but haven't read this one yet. I love realistic fiction, too, but the paranormal books can be pretty fun. I read Paranormalcy a couple weeks ago and really liked it.
ReplyDeleteOHHHhh.. Those are next on my TBR list, awesome!
ReplyDeleteNew follower! Happy reading, friend!

I gotta read Libba Bray. :)
ReplyDeleteNew follower from FF. I have got to read some Libba Bray. I've heard great things, so I'm going to have to see if my local library can oblige me. I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

I've heard some good things about her books, but haven't read any yet. I've been on a paranormal book kick for quite a few years now and I still am not tired of them. Trying to get my mom interested in them is another story!

I loved A Great and Terrible Beauty, I actually tore through the whole series. I just picked up "Going Bovine" but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I do love Libba Bray.
